14/1/12 The wedding of Rebecca and Gilligan Banez The day of the wedding was wonderful! The second cousin in my family is getting married and everyone was filled with a mixture of dear excitement and anticipation. The wedding took place near the sea, as was the reception. The decorations were beautiful and the space, lovely. You could definitely feel the romance that was about to fill the room.
Just before the wedding the family arrived early to make sure all decorations and bits and pieces were fine before anyone came in.
This photo is of my mom and myself with my sister and her boyfriend just before the wedding posing in front of the magnificent flower arrangement, done by my aunty.
Look at this cake, don't you just love wedding cakes!!
[Although I'm not a huge fan of the taste of fondant, it really does look amazing] It was a double chocolate cake and yes it was definitely delicious. That intricate little black design was designed by the mother of the groom and was all over the wedding invitations and giveaways.
Eventually the room filled up and the big moment came for a beautiful bride to walk in and be swept off her feet. As she came into the room her eyes instantly filled up with tears and in doing so, mine did too. I can't help it!
It was at this point of the bride walking down the aisle where I turn to look at the grooms face, and though his bride was filled with tears he stood like the happiest man in the world. It was definitely the sweetest moment I have witnessed. The ceremony took place and they couldn't keep their eyes off each other, soon enough it was the big kiss.
The rest of the evening was a night to remember for everyone.
Dancing, Drinking, Eating, Laughing, Smiling. To the new Mr and Mrs Banez. Congratulations xx. Labels: flowers, love, melbourne, night, wedding |
