  Music Monday: 10th October 2014
Inspired by the absolutely amazing Finn Harries (www.jacksgap.com) and his keen taste of music.
Music Monday is my series of favourite music or amazing diamonds that I've found during the week. I'll try as much as I can to post consistently however I can't entirely promise every monday every time.
Hope you enjoy this, let me know what you think and let me know if you have any suggestions

Or Nah (Remix Feat Ty Dolla $ign & Wiz Khalifa) - The Weeknd

Ride feat Ludacris- Ciara

Latch (Acoustic) - Sam Smith

Arrows feat Macklemore - Fences

To start is a couple of the current sexiest songs for me right now.
The Weeknd with his smooth voice just kills it in Or Nah and Ride is just a blast from the past that you just want to grind up to someone to. There's not a whole heap to say about these first few songs but that.

Latch was a song that really caught my heart when I heard Josh Golden and Andrew Garcia's cover but once I heard the original acoustic, it really hits it hard.
It's a sweet song that really sums up a good moment between yourself and your lover, one of those songs where it all just fits into place.

Lastly is a song that I think suits the warming weather, a great beat and message that I can just imagine going roadtripping or adventuring to this song.
Macklemore is always a great summer singer and he's always on my summer playlist.

Hope your week is treating you all well
Let me know what your Summer tracks are

Farewell (Nujabes Tribute) - Witness

Often (Kyogo Remix) - The Weeknd

The Best Strawberry(Chi Duly Remix)  - Drake and Coldplay

Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran

Starting with Farewell by Witness we have a strong piano melody that is repeated throughout the song.
This lovely little song has a beautiful air and lightness to it as well as a strong beat and rhythm to it, as an instrumental it's one of those gorgeous thinking songs.
This is the type of music I listen when I'm having a bit of 'me' time when I can really get out and be on my own and just have a breather and empty my mind.

Next is a Weeknd remix of Often by Kyogo, mixing Abel's magical voice and adding that kick and beat to it brings feelings of summer nights and chilling.
It gets me excited for the upcoming warmer seasons and just lying around being lazy in the sun and sand.  The lyrics however aren't quite as innocent and i'm sure you aren't either if you're listening to this :P

This is an interesting remix between Best I Ever Had by Drake and Strawberry Swing by Coldplay.
Initially looking at the combo  in writing I instantly just thought "nope, no, nada, no, it'll never work" and as it started I was like "see it sounds like some sort of rap country song" but when the beat dropped it oddly worked really well!
The backing of strawberry swing intertwines really well to Drake's song and really brings a bit more emphasis to the "sweetness" that he implies in his lyrics.

In another direction, I've been a big Ed Sheeran fan he's in my 'Tea' playlist for the more quiet days with a book and a bit of rain. Ed Sheeran's new X album is absolutely delighting to hear, being the album I got after Coldplay's ghost stories it was nice to have a lighter feel through the speakers.
This song is one of the sweetest things I've ever come across and I wanted to grab my loved ones and just dance to this song. It really warmed me up.

What have you been chilling to lately?

Money on My Mind - Sam Smith

Getting to Know You - SpazzKid

I Can't Keep Up (Feat. Will Heard) - Tourist

Clair De Lune (Motez Remix) Feat. Christine Hoberg - Flight Facilities

Good day!
How's your playlists looking lately?  I hope your staying warm in bed with a nice tea and a scented candle on the side.

First up is Money on My Mind which I heard repeatedly on the radio and only decided I liked it after I heard it after a ridiculous amount of times the radio engraved it into my system.
Does anyone else have those songs ?
It's a cute song considering at first I thought it was one of those  "I don't care bout the girl just the green".
Something about monetary value ruining things hits a soft spot for me for some reason I do understand it's important but sometimes i feel like it's overvalued so this song made me warm.

Spazzkid's song came up when I was watching a Buzzfeed video on Japanese trends.
The song reminds me of clouds and balloons, it's got that really light feel that Owl City used to have in it's early days and it's a good mind clearing song. Think of blue skies and running around.

I'm made of star - That line is my absolute favorite. I'm obsessed with stars.
I digress. I don't know what exactly this song means but it sends me the idea of just wanting to keep going and keep pursuing but just needing that extra push. When you can't quite keep up and you just need that hand.

Clair De Lune, and not the one you think.
This is another one of my background/driving songs that I like to pop on if I don't exactly want to pay much attention to the world and kinda just zone into what I'm doing.
It's sort of monotonous and not outstanding but just one of those nice background songs if your feeling productive.

Happy Monday!

xx.

Raindrops - Cillo

Put It - ShloMo

Stay High - Tove Lo (Habits Remix) Feat. Hippie Sabotage

(blogger won't upload the video so here's the link)
Kiss Me - Ed Sheeran (Jude Woodhead Remix)

Hey everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed your last couple of long weekends over the easter break and Anzac weekend!
Lately I've been falling back into the 'chillstep' kind of music, I find it relaxing and perfect for sitting at home or long drives. It's usually got a good beat and heavy bass that can hold a good atmosphere without demanding too much attention.

First song up is Raindrops by Cillo, a slow instrumental song that reminds me of either long windy drives in the coast or reading on a rainy day. I feel like so much time passes while this song is on and for some reason I feel like a montage should be on whenever this song comes up.

First song I heard from Shlomo was "Do you right" and I was absolutely obsessed with that song.
When I heard Put It I could definitely feel the same vibe from "Do you right" radiating from it.
It's a great song a lot more relaxing and I'm definitely going to invest a little more time in listening to a bit more of his stuff.

Stay High showed up on my pandora one afternoon drive and I actually had to pull over just to save the details of this song so I could grab it later!
It's got a heavy bass and I'm absolutely obsessed with listening to it in the car!

Lastly I may have had Ed Sheeran's original Kiss Me on a music monday a while back, I find the song very sensual and at the same time a little sad for some reason. Alas there is a remix and I'm always belting this song out whenever it's on. I think the added beat adds a little more drama and 'oomph' to the song.

What have you guys been listening to lately?

xx.

Rude - Magic

Lullaby - Chester See

Let it Go/Let her go - Sam Tsui

Runaway - Jheane Aiko x The Weeknd x Frank Ocean

Hey guys, hope your week has been aurally appealing this week!
Hope you've enjoyed the recent weekend and valentines day past, this weeks music is a compilation of some sweet songs to brighten up the rest of your week. Let's not restrict the love to just one day of the year :)

I heard Magic's song on the radio recently this year and felt like it was a massive blast from the past listening to reggae style music!
It's a sweet and fun song that makes you want to dance or sip on a cocktail on the beach and just listen and sway to the beat. Every time this song comes on I really can't help but sing. Poor guy, hope he marries the girl :)

Chester See has re-done his amazing little song 'Lullaby' to the sound of a Ukelele, just relaxing on his bed singing an amazing song. His slow written song and rustic voice, really is a lovely little lullaby that you want to fall asleep to.

Sam Tsui is a new youtuber that I stumbled upon while listening to some frozen covers. I completely forgot about the Let her go song and i was a little sceptical about how the combination would be. I was pleasantly surprised on how well he managed to combine the two songs together.

Lastly is a mash up of Jhene Aiko, The weeknd and Frank Ocean.
Jheane Aiko is absolutely amazing, she has such a wonderful voice which is filled with emotional depth.
They mixed one of my favorite Frank Ocean songs 'Acura Integurl' so I instantly fell in love with this as the rift came in.

Hope you guys had a great weekend and a good week up ahead :)

Say Something - A Great Big World Feat. Christina Aguilera

It Won't Stop - Sevyn Streeter Feat. Chris Brown

Ride - SoMo

Old Skool Love - Lupe Fiasco Feat. Ed Sheeran

~~
First Music Monday of the Year!!
So, since I've been away and coming back and working straight away the only real source of my music is based on the radio for the time being.
Please excuse the Top 20 feel of this MM :)

Firstly,
Say Something. This song hits close to home, I've been in so many situations in relationships in the past where you feel like you're at a standstill and you know that you've already given up on them.
It's the song for those tense moments where there's no turning back, and what happens next could determine your future together. I really love this song, it's short, simple and sweet. Tanner Patrick makes a great cover on youtube too, not the ugliest guy either ;)

Next song, I thought, was so sensual and sexy!
For some reason it reminds me of Shlomo's 'Do You Right'. Those deep beats and

Ride is another one of those sexy songs and the first time I heard it I thought it was quite poppy but the more I listened to the song and actually listened to the lyrics did I realise how sexy it was.

Lastly Old Skool love is just one of the cutest songs I've come across that just puts a smile on my face since Just a Cloud Away by Pharell. It's sweet, innocent and just makes you wanna go out in the sun on a date.

xx.

Music Monday 14th October. Youtube Double Special
Inspired by the absolutely amazing Finn Harries (www.jacksgap.com) and his keen taste of music.
Music Monday is my series of favourite music or amazing diamonds that I've found during the week. I'll try as much as I can to post consistently however I can't entirely promise every monday every time.
Hope you enjoy this, let me know what you think and let me know if you have any suggestions.

So guys this week is a little different, I've got double the amount of videos because I wanted to emphasize that although there are some amazing covers out there the same talent can create beautiful songs.

Chester See

Madness (Muse Cover)

Who am I to stand in your way (Original Song)

Chester See was the first youtube musician that I found at around 16/17.
I'm pretty sure the reason why I subscribed to him was the same reason that every other gushing girl subscribed to him.
But despite that charm, that smile and that unbelievable body, he is just bursting with talent. His voice, although a little bit husky, is strong and versatile to any genre of song and his amazing piano and song writing skills are just amazing.

Andrew Garcia

Who Do We Think We Are (John Legend Cover)

Dumb (Original Song)

Andrew Garcia was someone I floated around, I always heard him featuring in Chesters songs but never got around to subscribing to him. The day I finally did though I was completely blown away. Andrew literally has the voice of an angel, you know that line in step brothers where John C Reily says, "Your voice is like Fergie mixed with Jesus", that was exactly my reaction he is actually amazing.
His vocal range is just infinite and has so much power to stab you right in the heart to take your breath away.

Andy Lange

I Need Your Love (Ft Julia Price) [Calvin Harris Cover]

Wish (Original Song)
.
Andy Lange, working both with Chester See and Andrew Garcia is one of the best producers youtube has ever seen. Multi-talented to say the least, Andy Lange is very much the most creative producers ever!
Also having a voice of his own and his own strong musical input Andy just can't keep his hands away from talent that he can mould and recreate to a beautiful sound.

The Piano Guys

What Makes You Beautiful (One Direction Cover, CLICK IT IT'S ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD)

All of Me (Jon Schmidt Original)

The Piano Guys, a little different and steering away from vocal talent.
These guys are insane.
They seriously are, how they think of making music out of a whole piano is just amazing, they manage to turn any song into something you want to shove into a wedding. They're talent is so raw and beautiful it sometimes brings me to tears, if this is what they sound like on the internet they would be absolutely amazing in person. These guys are just so amazing, they're any musician's inspiration.

So that's this week guys, let me know if you have any favorite youtube musicians!

xx.

All of Me - John Legend

Sunny Days - Josh Raiden

This Is Gospel - Panic at the Disco

Decipher Reflections From Reality - PlayRadioPlay!

~~

Hey guys,
so half of this music monday will be a little bit fruity and the other half a little bit heavy.

First up on our list we've got one of John Legends new releases from his slow coming album, the song All of Me like a few of his other songs is very much based on your Significant other. The song is a little bit more fast paced than your usual 'love song' but it's filled with just as much love and emotion. The thing I love about this song is that he doesn't go on about how someone is super perfect but he just accepts the imperfections.

Next we have Sunny Days a cover by Josh Raiden.
If it sounds familiar and you swear it sounds just like...
It is! It is the theme song from Sesame Street slowed down and acoustic, first heard on Scrubs in the Sesame Street special. It's actually quite sad when sung like this and a little bit lonely actually but it is still a nice song non-the-less.

On to a different tone the new song by Panic at the Disco brings all the old memories and all the old love for Brendan Urie's amazing voice. The new direction of the previously 'Alternative' scene between both Panic and Fall Out Boy has definitely re-roped their old fans to an exciting new style.

Speaking of 'old memories', Decipher Reflections From Reality brings me to nostalgia street in my mind.
This number by PlayRadioPlay! was my absolute favorite song about 5 years ago, I used to listen to it on repeat. Even listening to it now I don't get that 'ugh why did I ever like this' cringe that I get when I look at old clothes that I used to wear, I get the "OMG I USED TO LOVE THIS SONG" feel.
This song reminds me of summer and I think it's perfect to rekindle as the weather warms up again.

Let me know what you guys used to love about 5 years ago and how you felt about nostalgic songs in the comments below

Much love

Take On Me - The Blanks

We Can't Stop - Chester See, Andrew Garcia, Josh Golden and Andy Lange (Miley Cyrus)

Candles in the Sun - Miguel

Makin Good Love (Rendition by SoMo) - Avant

Hey guys
So this week I decided to highlight a few of the slower songs that I've been listening to lately in the lead up to the start of the second semester and also the start of a new job!
I also won't be seeing my favourite diamond next weekend (we only get to see each other once a week) because he's a boss and is going on a work trip. le sigh-

Take On Me was an amazing song as the original but when I heard The Blanks do a cover at the concert last year in Sydney, it brought me to tears. This song has to be played at my wedding!

We Can't Stop, the cover by some of the YTF boys is just the cutest song and that video clip is disturbingly accurate. But let's be honest girls, you can't help but gush at every pool scene that Chester See and Josh Golden have in that. I-pause-every-time *drool*

Candles in the Sun is an interesting song, personally I love it but it can be a hit or miss with most people.

Makin Good Love, this is the sexiest song I swear.

Let me know any suggestions or what you think about these songs

Illest - Far East Movement

This is the only thing I have been listening to. I LOVE IT
That drop is just hnnggghh..
Now I don't go clubbing often but with this song I know I definitely would and not just a little bit, but I would completely go insane for it.
Let me know what you think, but I am definitely jamming this right now.
