Hey everyone!
If you follow my instagram you'd see that I had a recent getaway to The Star and needless to say it was absolutely luxurious!Last time I went to the star I was walking through the casino all starry eyed learning how to play card games and wondering how expensive their electricity bill must be for the casino alone, this time was a little different. We stayed in the Jewel Suite of the Darling and made that home for a couple of nights while we soaked in the beauty of our lovely city in all its grandeur. The staff and members of the Star were all incredibly helpful and friendly and the overall design of the hotel really left us in awe.
The suite had these amazing floor to ceiling windows that left the whole place beautifully lit and a really interesting asian-esque vibe to it.
The towel robes were the best I've ever used and they sell them as well for about $125, at the time I was thoroughly considering it.
The staff were lovely although they tried to turn down our room around 3 times after it already had been but they were always so polite and apologetic every time.
Dinner was at Umi Sushi the second night and wow is their Sashimi plate absolutely delicious!
I've never tried flathead and Scampi sashimi before so that was an interesting twist and I'm always excited to try something new! As always Sashimi never disappoints but the oyster marinade was just to die for, that lemony soy sauce and spring onion mixture was just amazing. Umi Sushi usually is bustling but on this particular Sunday night they were quiet, they had a great Miso and the range of rolls was different and unique. To our dismay some things are seasonal so we didn't quite get to try all the things but we're definitely keen to go back again.
We dabbled in a bit of the shopping as both Zara and Oroton were on great sales.
Lachlan managed to snap up some great buys at Zara but as always I was just completely duped of sizes which is always sad.
On our last day we were strolling around the Food court of The Star and decided to try out Ribs & Burgers. They did not disappoint and certainly one of the most fancy places I've come across in a food court. At first we were a bit concerned about the price but upon receiving our food and trying it, for the amount of food and quality you receive it, it's definitely worth it. The onion rings were not as I expected, I was expecting chunky thick rings covered in batter (I'm not a huge onion fan) but instead got these lightly fried thinly sliced onion rings which surprised me but the onions were nice and sweet and that aioli was to die for.
You could tell that Ribs and Burgers use quality products and the food is well worth the price.
Another place to cross off the list!
We later went to Messina Gelato and all I can say is that it's a must visit, Salted Caramel and White chocolate oh my.
They make their own gelato every day and every flavor is created on site. , Eg. Apple Pie flavored gelato is made after an actual apple Pie is made and incorporated into the gelato by hand.
A visit to the star, whether your into the gamble, want a dance or a big foodie and relaxer like me is definitely something you want to cross off your books.
Let me know your experiences there in the comments below.
xx.

1 year ago I introduced you to my partner in crime and shiniest diamond.
We've come to a full circle and celebrated our anniversary the other day on the 8th of March.
Spending our anniversary in the city was a little significant for the both of us, we've had so many experiences there together. It's where we first met, where we had our first date, where he first asked me out and where he first said 'i love you'. All in all it only seemed right to spend our anniversary soaking up the beautiful atmosphere that Sydney has provided us in the past year.
We celebrated our anniversary at Catalina in Rose Bay for lunch, a beautiful restaurant just on the edge of the bay.
Such a beautiful restaurant with stunning views of the water, having all that natural light coming into the open windows allowed a cool and relaxed atmosphere all around. The restaurant is set up just along the water and as we ate we saw sea planes coming in and out, boats passing and just a beautiful sky.
Lunch was exquisite as we expected it would be! Catalina served us such delicately balanced and well presented meals that we enjoyed completely. At first we were at a crossroads as to whether we should start with Oysters or Sashimi, Catalina being on the water we thought it'd be a good start to choose some fresh produce. We chose Sashimi as we can never resist it at the best of times. Entree : Sashimi platter of Salmon, Tuna, Whiting and Kingfish The fish was so incredibly fresh and light, I was immediately sad when it was over and we came to the conclusion that the next dinner date should definitely be a Sashimi boat. After a slice of some fresh baked bread and butter we were served our mains, when they were served it was just as amazing as we imagined it would be. Lachlan: Riverine beef tenderloin with prosciutto and potato gratin, roast eschalots, truffle, bone marrow butter and red wine jus. - Medium Rare Myself: Herb crusted lamb loin, carrot puree, sautéed kipfler potato and zuccini. - Served Pink Both of us chose our servings based on the waiters suggestion, the best way to have your meal I think is to have it the way the restaurant intends it. This main was definitely one of the best i've ever had, not only was it beautiful on the plate and cooked to perfection, every mouthful was delicious from beginning to end. Each texture stood out and every flavor balanced each other as well as the colors did. It was definitely a perfect meal and Catalina's chefs and waitstaff all made the experience perfect. To finish we shared dessert as we anticipated another picnic straight after we got back into the city and I'm glad we did otherwise we would've had to leave Catalina bloated. Dessert Banana and salted peanut butter parfait with caramel sauce. Dessert was delicately light and a perfect full stop to the alluring sentence of a meal that we just had. The experience at Catalina was unforgettable, the waitstaff were all very friendly, well knowledged and welcoming. It definitely set a perfect scene for such an important day. From start to finish we were surrounded by a great atmosphere and friendly smiles, we couldn't be any happier with this restaurant. Definitely stop by and give it a visit, it's only a short ferry(or plane) ride from Circular Quay. If you want to find out more about this restaurant visit their website at : http://www.catalinarosebay.com.au For any enquiries don't be shy to send them and email or give them a call they're quick to reply and super friendly. Honey by Marc Jacobs is a sunny, delicious floral—energetic and alluring, with a sparkling, golden touch. The perfect mix of brightness and warmth.
I recently received the new Marc Jacobs perfume 'Honey'!
The new fragrance hit the stores recently bringing another scent to the infamous line! First impressions prior to smelling the perfume is definitely about the bottle and over all packaging. With an almost identical bottle to Marc Jacob's Dot, Honey seemed to have a more approachable look to it. Being a lovely 'honey' color and using whites and yellows the bottle just screams S/S, much like daisy, and I'm just drawn to it like a bee to honey. The bottle is very round and just, I guess cute to say the least, it's not feminine or petit just round, small and cute. At first I was a little weary about how similar it would be to Dot, personally Dot didn't leave much of an impression on me, it wasn't a stand out nor did it seem to suit me at all. I was expecting a super sweet scent that was pretty much like inhaling sugar since Daisy is definitely floral no matter how deep the tones go. The first time I smelt this perfume I couldn't quite decide if I loved it or not. It wasn't as sweet as I expected but had a rather citrus-y tone to it. There was a strong base tone of vanilla that I could recognise and it truly left me a bit unsure for a while. After wearing it the perfume seemed to get a little better as it really worked into my skin, I started to smell the more floral scents that were in the fragrance and the consistent basal tone of honey carried on throughout the whole day. The scent is perfect for the warming weather as seasons change and flowers bloom Honey fits right into the picture. It's a moderate smell, it's not as soft and light as Daisy but it's not so strong as Fame or Alien. This is the perfect daytime perfume to go with light colors and those warm nights out, this perfume gets me excited for the warming weather! Let me know what you guys think. xx. Michelle Obama, one of the most powerful women at the moment is a someone who is a constant worker, she is represents her country, her husband she is both a public figure and a mother. Okay so not everyone is as busy as the first lady but we're all busy in our own senses and we often neglect our skin. I know that my skin goes through trauma around this time of the year. I have very dry skin and my T zone is a war zone at the moment and to be honest I'm really lazy with moisturising. Throughout the busy weeks where you got exams due and work and weekly exercise and a social life, thats where I drop the skin maintenance, thanks to Nuffnang's Product talks I got a chance to redeem myself Often the shower is the only time I get a moment to myself to completely relax and when I can pick up this little number and get both a mask and a wash out of the one product. Texture The texture of the wash is extremely smooth and a little on the thick side almost like a lotion consistency that comes with the dual use as a wash and a mask. It's creamy and on application feels like an avocado mask. As you use the Clearasil either as a wash or a mask it makes your skin feel like silk on application. Smell The product smells strongly of pomegranate so it has the most gorgeous refreshing smell as your washing. This product is amazing and so smooth and refreshing on the skin, it's not harsh and is works both as a mask and as a wash. Clearasil did a trial showing that over 74% of people said that the Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts products have made their skin looking and feeling healthier. With key ingredients such as avacado extracts and Vitamin E for moisture, glycerin for hydration and pomegranate for its anti - oxident properties this product doesn't shred or dry your skin at all GIVEAWAY So Clearasil is doing an amazing giveaway right now and it's super simples! This is bliss to anyone that has extremely dry and sensitive skin like me, I've recently been trialing out the Dove Pure Deodorants and I've never been so glad to see the word no.
The four things that Dove Pure lack are in fact some of the major ingredients listings in other popular anti-perspirants and generally cosmetics as a whole that can sometimes cause irritation to peoples skin. What makes Dove Pure stand out is that it's targeted for people like me who often don't know they bought the wrong deodorant until it's too late. Irritation, dryness, itchy-ness and white mark's aren't the cutest and I'm always happy to find a product that can avoid all of these! Using this product it's clear that simple is best, Dove Pure contains all the right essentials nothing more nothing less. The product itself is a light formula that glides on smoothly and smells pretty much like nothing, which is great when you realize later in the day that you don't smell like anything either (in the good way of course!).I've worn Dove Pure on the way to uni and all day at work and come home confident and sweat free. Personally I love it when deodorants are fragrance free because I often feel like, even if it doesn't make any difference, that it really highlights your perfume for the day! Having a fragrance free deodorant means that even if you reapply, you won't clash your 'anti-sweat' smell with your 'i'm amazing' scent, often when this happens you get this weird confusing overbearing smell. One of the best things about Dove, especially for my terrible skin condition, is that the product contains 1/4 of moisturising cream keeping you soft and well nourished for the day. Between the roll on and the aerosol, there's no real difference in results. Personally I don't have any preference, although if it is a going to be a long day or if I'm going to travel for a bit, I'll usually grab the roll on to shove in my bag. For a small container it can last you a long time, so if you've got sensitive skin and have a few issues trying to find the it deodorant, I'd give this a go. I don't usually buy Aloe but do you know all the things you can do with it? (Although this is 98.5% Aloe Vera I do recommend using 100% Aloe Vera Gel before Carrying on with doing any of the following) Sunburn Relief, skin hydration, treatment for razor burns, dry hair, infection healing. Swisse - Body Wash with Vit B3 and Macrobiotic Sea Minerals This body wash is a lovely number, it foams lightly and is nice and gentle on the skin. The product itself is clear and you don't need much at all to lather a good loofah up. It has a very subtle smell and that's fresh and the soft formula feels nice and gentle on your skin. Face of Australia- Purifying Cleansing Wipes Cleansing wipes are one of my Holy Grail items that every make up enthusiast should ever have. I don't quite have heaps to say about this except that it is amazing and it has a very slight smell to it, nothing heaps special but it does it's job nevertheless. Mode Cosmetics - Nail Enamel Hot Stuff This Nail polish was actually very surprising to me. When I use really unknown branded nail polish I expect a really thick consistency or something really sheer and slow drying. This was the opposite! It was fast drying and extremely opaque, the color was true to color to how it looks in the bottle too! I got this amazing Neon Pink and with the new neon trends it's perfect for summer. It could be borderline hoochie but you'd have to style it well. With this color on your nails, I'd avoid fishnets. Natio - Mineral Skin Perfecting BB Cream SPF 15 Medium BB Creams have blossomed hugely in the mainstream world, by that I mean that BB Creams have been extremely popular and huge in asia for a long time before us westeners discovered it. Even so BB Cream was originally used for people who needed rest and repair. BB Cream is one of the great products that absorbs easily and blends well. Forwalls - Decal This cute little...porcupine? Is an amazing idea for adding a but of fun to your walls. Stickers are perfect since they can change as you change your mind and easy to add to walls without having to move the furniture. Personally I'm not a huge fan because they are known to peel off if it's an incredibly hot day and I'm extremely lucky to have a sister that is willing to paint on my walls instead. First of its kind, this perfume is an innovation in fluid technology. It's black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airborne.
Lady Gaga Fame is built around three main accords: Dark, sensual and light. The dark accord was inspired by Belladonna, the deadly nightshade possessed by haunted beauties since the 18th century. From this darkness, the fragrance evolves to a sensual accord of opulence, a fusion of dripping honey, saffron and apricot nectar. And lastly, the light accord whispers magnificence while the rich floral layer of crushed Tiger Orchid & Jasmine sambac embodies a timeless beauty.

Hi everyone,
I'm doing a review of Eyelure's Katy Perry Lashes in 'Cool Kitty'.
I had these lashes sitting around for a while after I bought them considering I don't usually wear lashes and when I do I get quite thin ones to just add a little volume to my boring asian lashes.
So when I bought these I opted for the thicker kind to give it a go and see how it'd be like, I was also really curious about Katy Perry's range because her lashes are AMAZING!
Labels: beauty, coolkitty, eyeliner, eyelure, falsies, green, katyperry, lashes, lazy, meow, opinion, review, vanity Hey! So I've recently finished Portal 2 and I'm extremely happy with it! I have previously played the first portal and absolutely loved it however I'm not entirely aware of the rest of the story line such as that that is shown in Half Life. What I love about Portal is that it really challenges your way of thinking and as they say to "Think with portals" Portal 2 incorporated a stronger story line and an attachment to characters and their background which is something Portal lacked originally. But in doing so the puzzles were reduced heavily and the design of the game was based on the story. All in all it was still an amazing game with an incredibly creative innovation for puzzles. I highly recommend everyone to give it a go but definitely give the first portal a go first. Worth your money Till next time xx. I recommend this game who have a love for batman as I do or looking at Gotham city and it's characters in a darker more sinister form. This game actually reminded me quite a bit of Alice Mcgee's Alice, the lack of brightness and the key use of color and concept art is pretty similar in that aspect. "The sandman's coming in his train of cars, with moonbeam windows, and wheels of stars.
So hush you little ones, and have no fear. The man in the moon, he is the engineer."
Hi Everyone,
It's finally done, finally finished. The wonderful work of two artists, Caroll and Mcgee, compacted into one of my absolute favorite classics of all time.
As soon as I got this small case into my hands I could feel the anticipation and excitement pulsating through me.
If any of you happened to see my blog in its freshly made stage it was originally called "We're all mad here" an obvious reference to Alice which has been one of my favourite quotes. The only thing I love more than this story right here is Peter Pan. Maybe it's the alternate universes and the riddles but nevertheless, they are nothing short of amazing in my books.

If you haven't noticed I really do like batman, I just bought Arkham Asylum, I [obviously] have lego batman and DC vs Lego batman, yet to buy Arkham City and am anticipating Gotham City Impostors.
I absolutely love that Batman is peaking in society right now because that means more games, more influence and generally more stuff that's batman.
